Biostimulators: your own collagen, without surgery
Over the years the skin produces less collagen and loses firmness. Biostimulators are substances placed under the skin that stimulate your body to make new collagen. Unlike a filler, the change is not immediate: it appears gradually over the following weeks, which is why the result looks very natural.
I mainly use two: poly-L-lactic acid, the component of products such as Sculptra, and calcium hydroxylapatite, which also gives some support from the first session. At your consultation we choose the right one for your skin and the area.
They work well for mild laxity and loss of firmness in the face and neck. When sagging is moderate or significant, I will tell you clearly: a facelift gives a result a biostimulator cannot. They can also be combined with botulinum toxin and fillers for complete non-surgical rejuvenation.
